Save Time and Money...the easy way

Repeat after me: “Technology is our friend.”

“Technology is our friend.”

One more time. “Technology is our friend.”

Okay, now that we got that out of the way… Let’s get down to business.

It’s time to embrace “cloud” technology! Don’t be afraid of it.

Answer these questions:

  • Do you use email?

  • Do you shop online?

  • Do you use online banking?

If you answered yes to any of these then you are already using “cloud” technology. Congrats!

But there are so many more things that cloud technology can do to help your church. We use it to help our clients save time, save money, and increase security. It’s just easier and better! If we can do it, so can you!

But the truth is most churches aren’t doing it. They do things the hard way.

How can you use the cloud to help your church?

There are literally hundreds of apps designed to help your church work better. Here are a few examples (Snapbooks uses those in bold):

  • Document storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, Box) - no more filing cabinets

  • Donor tracking and reporting (Infoodle, PushPay, Tithe.ly easyTithe) - easy donor statements

  • Payroll (Gusto) - simple, reliable paydays and worry-free tax filing

  • Employee scheduling and time tracking (Deputy, TSheets) - smart phone or ipad clock in and out

  • Clouding accounting platform (Xero, Aplos, QuickBooks) - access to financial data any time, anywhere

  • Documents, spreadsheets and slide shows (Google Drive, Office 365) - write, edit, and collaborate wherever you are

I urge you to look into adding some or all of these to your church. They will help your church do things better, cheaper, and more efficient.

Over the next few posts, I’ll delve a little deeper into each of these apps so you can find out how they can help your church save time and money.
